This large cross commemorates the island’s former capital, which was devastated by the last eruption of the Hibok Hibok volcano. The cemetery of the old capital, the only remaining remnant, is submerged in its waters.
It is a complex of ruins from the first Spanish settlement
on the island, and one of the first in the entire Philippines, around which
its first capital was built, now buried beneath the sea.
One of the first restaurants to open on the island, its owner grows organic cacao, coffee, and honey, working with local residents to teach them sustainable agriculture.
To reach them, we begin the ascent along the road from the “beehive,” rising through jungle and tropical territory, where, if we wish, we can take a dip in its cold waters.
After these rapid waterfalls, we continue the climb to the highest point, the Hibok Hibok Mountain Guide Center. We’ll then visit a large tropical-style house.
To reach them, we begin the descent down the mountain and, amidst the dense vegetation, we will come across these spectacular waterfalls where, if we still have the energy, we will bathe in their cold and energetic waters.
Finally, we’ll visit a bustling local market with vendors selling local produce, exotic fruits, fish, and seasonal vegetables.
After a day full of adventures and unforgettable moments, we’ll return you to your hotel in complete safety and comfort.
