In the afternoon, explore the mysterious royal city of Angkor Thom and Bayon. Its 54-towered temple is breathtaking: at first glance, it appears as a shapeless mass of stone, but upon closer inspection, it reveals one face, then another, and another, until you are enveloped by the silent, weighty, and enigmatic gaze of half-closed eyes, which seem to come from a primitive and remote time.

A unique experience awaits at Palalai Pagoda, one of the most beautiful pagodas in the region. Bring candles and incense sticks to participate in a private good luck blessing ceremony performed by local monks. Sit on a mat as the monks chant blessings and sprinkle you with holy water, a traditional practice believed to bring good fortune. Along the way, you can pick fruit from the trees, enjoy the views of this stunning area, and interact with the friendly villagers. A 30-minute ride in an old ox- or buffalo-drawn cart through the rice paddies will take us to a large local house, where you can observe the family going about their daily tasks, such as making rice wine and crafting their handicrafts. A family member will offer you fresh coconut and homemade rice wine to taste.

Learn to prepare traditional Cambodian cuisine in a beautiful traditional Khmer house in the rural village. Our cooking classes are entirely hands-on and interactive, with individual workstations. These include a visit to a local family to learn about traditional Khmer cuisine, local culinary customs, and superstitions.
